Check for Water Leaks
Posted on Jul 6th, 2016

The Board asks you to check regularly for leaks in or around your kitchen, bathroom, hot water heater, dishwasher, and clothes washer. Fix any leaks as soon as they are found to avoid expensive repairs.

Water leaks will cause damage to your unit and possibly to your neighbor's unit. The owner of the unit where the leak originates is primarily responsible for the repairs.

There are a number of inexpensive water alarms available from Amazon and others (see the photo). These alarms detect tiny amounts of water and make a sound like a smoke alarm.

Make sure your unit is leak-free and that you have water alarms to detect water leaks quickly.
