Unit Water Shut-off Valves
Posted on Mar 31st, 2020

Did you know that you have a water shut-off valve for your unit? This valve is important in the event of water leaking from your unit’s pipes and for certain plumbing repairs. Your water shut-off valve should be near your hot water tank. Look around on nearby walls for your valve. Note that this valve may be hard to turn.

There is another valve on the water pipe feeding into the hot water tank. This valve turns off the water going into the hot water tank. If you turn the valve on this pipe, you will turn off only your source of hot water.

We recommend that you turn your water shut-off valve all the way off and back on monthly to ensure that the valve continues to move smoothly. If you have difficulty turning your valve, we recommend that you contact a plumber.
