Break-in Damages Two Cars
Posted on Oct 17th, 2016
Update (19 October 2016): A phone company malfunction that prevented the intercom box by the front door from calling residents' phones has been fixed by the phone company. There was a problem in the phone cables along 40th Street. Bulger Safe & Lock is recommending upgrades to the security of the building. More information will be forthcoming when it is available.

After 9:00 PM on Sunday, October 16, one or more thieves pried open the front door (also damaging the intercom box) and made their way to the P-2 parking level. There, they shattered a window in each of two cars.
It appears nothing (except a bag of chips) was stolen, though there was much glass to clean up. Replacing the car windows cost a bunch of time and some personal time off from work.
Keep an eye out for strange sounds around the building and people you don't recognize. Building security is a priority at the Landings.
