Great Job Flattening Boxes!
Posted on Jan 1st, 2016

Gary Hammons, Landings Board president, expresses thanks to everyone for breaking down cardboard boxes disposed into the recycling dumpsters.
He also reminds all to put Styrofoam peanuts in a bag so they won’t scatter during pickup, and to place the bag in the garbage. No one wants to chase wind-blown peanuts.
Remember to empty and flatten all recycled paper bags to minimize the cost of the city’s mechanical sorting process.
Keep up the good work!
Recycling Reminders:
- Paper bags must be emptied when dumped into the blue recycling dumpsters. Emptying paper bags helps the recycling process.
- Packing peanuts must be contained in a bag, and that bag must go into the garbage dumpster (not the recycling dumpsters).
